This is the 2007 accident involving Canadian pair skaters Jessica Dubé and Bryce Davison at the Four Continents Championships. During a side-by-side camel spin, his skate blade struck her face, causing a deep laceration to her cheek and nose.

She underwent surgery with 83 stitches, no broken bones or eye damage. Treated for PTSD, she returned to competition within weeks, placing 7th at Worlds. She fully recovered and skated until 2011.
