After the 9/11 attacks, Russia presented the United States with a monument known as the Tear Drop Memorial, which now stands in Bayonne, New Jersey. Designed by Russian artist Zurab Tsereteli, it was dedicated in 2006 during a ceremony attended by both American and Russian officials.

The structure rises roughly 100 feet, featuring a dramatic split through the center that frames a large stainless-steel teardrop hanging between two bronze panels. At its base, granite plaques list the names of the victims from both the 2001 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

The memorial serves as a symbol of shared sorrow and a gesture of solidarity from Russia to the United States.
