In 1962, Brendon Grimshaw bought a deserted island in the Seychelles for £8,000, and spent the next 40 years transforming it into a nature reserve to protect endangered species. 🐢🌿 He planted over 16,000 trees, built 5 km of paths by hand, and welcomed 120+ giant tortoises back to the island.
