As of Nov 8th, Thailand has banned drinking alcohol during certain hours, and you can get major fines if you do😳 The updated Alcoholic Beverage Control Act (No. 2) B.E. 2568 means both selling and drinking alcohol are prohibited during these hours at most venues: midnight to 11 a.m., and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m..  The ban now covers consumption, not just sale. So even if you buy a drink at 1:59 p.m., drinking it at 2:05 p.m. in a non-exempt spot can be illegal.  Standard hours when alcohol sales/consumption are allowed in non-exempt venues: approximately 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and 5 p.m.-midnight.  Some venues are exempt: licensed hotels, entertainment venues, and international airports can still serve beyond these hours. In October, video game giant Activision said it had fixed a bug in its anti-cheat system that affected “a small number of legitimate player accounts,” who were getting banned because of the bug. In reality, according to the hacker who found the bug and was exploiting it, they were able to ban “thousands upon thousands” of Call of Duty players, who they essentially framed as cheaters. President-elect Donald Trump will try to prevent TikTok from getting banned in the United States, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday. During his campaign, Trump promised voters that he would save the popular social media app if elected.
