Built for 22 guests and 33 crew and owned alongside the Dutch yard that constructed it, the ship also folds into his marine science projects, which means Steam’s river of cash is literally paying for a floating lab and luxury playground.

Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook and CEO of Meta, has expanded his fleet of superyachts once again. Earlier in 2024, he acquired the 118-meter megayacht Launchpad along with its support vessel Wingman, together valued at approximately $330 million.

Now, he has added a third vessel to his collection — the U-81, a 2022 shadow yacht built by Damen. Previously owned by billionaire Graeme Hart, the U-81 is estimated to be worth $100 million. It features a helipad, a large crane, and a luxurious interior capable of accommodating eight guests and 26 crew members. While designed primarily as a support vessel, it can also operate independently as a superyacht.

With this latest purchase, Zuckerberg’s superyacht collection now totals around $430 million, placing him among the ranks of the world’s top yacht owners, alongside prominent Russian oligarchs.
